Insurance Approved and Have Date!!!

I am so much in shock right now.  They just sent my paperwork in to the insurance last week and I have already been approved!!  I just got my call from Dr. Mortons office and I have been scheduled for surgery on March 31.  I have been thinking about WLS since 2004 and now it is really happening!!!  I have to start my preop diet on the 17th of March and that is the same day I go to have my bloodwork and the first time I get to meet the surgeon. DOING THE HAPPY DANCE RIGHT NOW!!!!!

Hey, that is just terrific!  Congratulations!  Jenn75 is on this board, she's a lapbander also, and a patient of Dr. Morton's...  you should look her up.  She's done really well on her weight loss journey and would be able to answer any questions you may have...  again, that is just wonderful news!  I know you are so excited, thrilled to death!

I did get the date the same day.  However I had to change it today to April 20.  The dr's office is so efficient.

Sounds like you were one of us lucky ones getting approved right away.  The surgeon's office sent my paperwork on Wednesday and I was approved on Thursday.
